Easy Cheesy Apple Biscuits

Say CHEESE! 🧀🐶

At my house, one thing is guaranteed to get tails wagging—CHEESE! If my crew even hears the cheese wrapper crinkle, they teleport into the kitchen faster than I can say “treat time!” So when I stumbled across this easy homemade recipe, I knew it was a must-try.

Of course, my little sous chef, Emmy Sue, was more than happy to assist. She’s a hot mess in the kitchen (and everywhere else), but she’s also an excellent taste tester—someone’s gotta do quality control, right?

What Makes These Treats So Pawsome?

These biscuits are not just delicious, they’re packed with goodness! Apples bring natural sweetness (and some healthy nutrients), while cheese adds that irresistible savory flavor dogs go crazy for.

A Few Tips Before You Get Baking:

🐾 Cheese, please! – I use cheddar, but feel free to swap in any dog-safe cheese your pup loves.
🍏 No seeds, no stems! – Peel your apple and remove any seeds; they’re not safe for dogs.
🌾 Flour power – Use wheat flour or switch to almond flour for a grain-free option.
💦 Chewy or crunchy? – Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil for a softer biscuit or bake an extra 5 minutes for a crispy crunch. Keep an eye on them so they don’t turn into charcoal!
🐶 Size matters – I used a set of adorable bone-shaped cookie cutters. If you love them as much as I do, you can grab a set here!

That’s it! Super simple, super tasty, and Emmy Sue-approved. Hope your furry crew loves them as much as mine does—happy baking! 🐾💕

Friendly Reminder:
I may know my way around the treat jar, but I’m not a veterinarian! The recipes I share on The Barking Blogger are made with love and good intentions, but every pup is different. If your dog has allergies, a sensitive tummy, or you just want to be extra sure, give your vet a quick woof before trying out a new treat. After all, a happy, healthy pup is the best kind of pup!
