As I sit here at my computer, watching the snowflakes drift down outside, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude. My house is quiet again, just me and my pack, each of them nestled in their favorite spots around the living room. After a long, challenging week—no power, 10 dogs, and living like a mole in the dark—it feels good to find a moment of calm. I know how lucky I am.
